BCBAs who supervise must complete 3 supervision CEUs per 2-year cycle. Browse 62 approved courses below.
The 3-CEU supervision requirement applies when you are actively providing supervision — RBT fieldwork hours, BCaBA experience, or BCBA supervised fieldwork. Like ethics CEUs, they count toward your 32-total, not on top of it.
One-time requirement completed before you begin providing supervision. Not recurring. Covers the BACB's supervision requirements and your responsibilities as a supervisor.
Ongoing continuing education required every 2-year recertification cycle for active supervisors. The courses on this page satisfy this requirement.
Research by Hajiaghamohseni et al. (2021) found that supervisors who use structured feedback, frequent contact, and competency-based evaluation produce trainees with significantly higher first-attempt BCBA exam pass rates. Supervision CEU courses that teach these skills make you a measurably better supervisor — not just a compliant one.
Look for courses covering: behavioral skills training formats, performance feedback delivery, data review with supervisees, and competency-based milestone tracking.
BCBAs who are providing supervision must complete at least 3 supervision CEUs per 2-year certification cycle. These count toward your 32 total — not in addition to them.
The requirement applies to certificants who are actively providing supervision — whether supervising RBT experience, BCaBA experience, or BCBA-level experience. Review the current BACB certificant handbook for your specific situation.
Topics that align with BACB Task List Section G (Supervision): effective supervision models, behavioral skills training, feedback delivery, RBT supervision requirements, trainee skill assessment, documentation in supervision, and supervisory ethics.
Yes. Your 3 supervision CEUs are part of your 32 total, not extra. Breakdown: 4 ethics + 3 supervision + 25 general = 32.
Yes. The ABA Clubhouse (BBC's free Skool community) includes supervision CEU recordings at no cost. The BACB does not require supervision CEUs to be paid — free courses from ACE providers count identically.
Two separate things. The 8-hour BACB supervisor training is a one-time requirement to become an approved BCBA supervisor. Supervision CEUs are ongoing: 3 per 2-year cycle to maintain competence. If you completed the supervisor training when first eligible, that was a credential step — not your ongoing CEU requirement.
Join The ABA Clubhouse — live CEU every Wednesday, ethics & supervision included, always free.
