General CEU: The Summer Setup Part 3

The Summer Setup Part 3 belongs in serious BCBA study because it shapes whether behavior-analytic decisions stay useful once they leave a clean training example and enter joint consultation, shared care planning, school-team communication, and interdisciplinary handoffs. In The Summer Setup Part 3, for this course, the practical stakes show up in clearer roles, fewer duplicated efforts, and better coordinated intervention, not in abstract discussion alone.

Course Description

In this final session, participants will strengthen their role in the IEP process by learning to write strong, legally sound behavior goals and advocate for the integration of ABA supports. Using real-life examples and audit tools, participants will refine vague goals, identify gaps in IEP alignment, and explore language that fosters collaboration—not conflict—with IEP team members.

What You'll Learn

  1. Write clear, defensible behavior goals aligned with student needs, standards, and legal requirements.
  2. Use the Behavior Goal Audit to revise vague or weak goals and increase clarity.
  3. Apply effective advocacy strategies to promote ABA-informed supports during IEP development.
