Redefining Nutrition as a Path to Redefining Success becomes clinically important the moment a team has to turn good intentions into reliable action inside home routines, treatment sessions, interdisciplinary consultation, and health-related skill support. In Redefining Nutrition as a Path to Redefining Success, for this course, the practical stakes show up in safe, humane intervention that respects health variables and daily-life feasibility, not in abstract discussion alone.

In the second part, it's time to roll up your sleeves—this interactive, workshop-style experience will include a hands-on, follow-along cooking demonstration featuring a nutrient-rich dessert swap, giving participants a fun and practical way to integrate course concepts into their own daily routines In the evolving conversation around health and wellness, traditional definitions of nutrition have become outdated, overly focused on food intake while neglecting the broader context in which eating behaviors occur. This two-part workshop invites behavior analysts & RBTs to explore a broader definition of nutrition, one that moves beyond food choices to encompass the people, environments, and daily exposures that influence behavior and well-being. During the workshop we will examine how nutrition-related behaviors are shaped and maintained by environmental contingencies, reinforcement histories, and private events. Participants will learn to analyze eating behaviors not only in terms of what is consumed, but when, how, and why food is selected and prepared. We will also consider lifestyle variables such as stress, sleep, movement, and social reinforcement as essential components of a "nutritional environment." The course highlights the importance of macronutrient balance, nutrient variety, hydration, and limiting processed foods, not as prescriptive goals but as modifiable behaviors. By redefining nutrition as a multidimensional form of self-care, behavior analysts can cultivate habits that support greater presence, energy, and resilience in their own daily lives—ultimately laying the foundation for a more aligned and sustainable version of success.
