Melody Sylvain is a Haitian-American Behavior Analyst, yoga teacher, and mental health advocate living in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Melody's pronouns are she/ her. Melody has 13 years of experience in the field of ABA and is the founder of Behavioral Wellness Map where she provides 1:1 supervision and behavioral support for neurodiverse individuals, families and educators. Melody is also the co-founder of Shaping Leaders, an organization whose focus is to empower aspiring and current behavior analysts of color to take on leadership roles and realize their full potential within the ABA field.She has applied her skills and experience in a variety of settings including center-based, home-based, schools, universities and residential homes. Her experience also includes school and family consultation and the use of Acceptance and Commitment Training to support those experiencing anxiety and psychological distress in order to assist others in removing barriers related to optimal behavioral wellness, especially for Black and other marginalized groups.
