Course Description

In behavior analysis, we provide support for Autistic learners. Over 72% of behavior analysts work with this community (BACB, n.d.), yet what is the experience of neurodivergent practitioners? How are we developing environments where supervision is inclusive, accessible, and culturally responsive to the needs of this population? What are some positive and negative experiences that neurodivergent practitioners have? What are some ways to incorporate accommodations into the workplace and supervision? This presentation will introduce the core principles of neurodivergent-affirming practices. The importance of incorporating neurodivergent-affirming practices and how to include said practices across work will be identified. Participants should come prepared to engage in active self-reflection of their supervisory practices.
