General CEU: Invited Speaker: Practical AI: From Idea to Action in Clinical and Educational Settings

Invited Speaker: Practical AI: From Idea to Action in Clinical and Educational Settings becomes clinically important the moment a team has to turn good intentions into reliable action inside clinic sessions and day-to-day service delivery. In Invited Speaker: Practical AI: From Idea to Action in Clinical and Educational Settings, for this course, the practical stakes show up in faster workflow without clinical drift, privacy loss, or weak oversight, not in abstract discussion alone.

Course Description

Real-world artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics systems often begin with an idea for a problem to be solved, a pain point to be mitigated, and a decision to be improved. Once specified, the AI or analytics system is then deliberately designed for that specific use case. Once designed, successfully developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable AI and analytics systems necessitates a collaborative effort among professionals spanning business, IT, engineering, data science, and domain expertise (e.g., ABA, education). In this panel, we outline the comprehensive process of conceptualizing, designing, creating, and implementing AI and analytics solutions designed to prompt action from ABA business owners, BCBAs, RBTs, and educators. To do so, we use real-world examples from ABA and educational settings such as: using generative AI to automate session notes and funding reports; forecasting business and clinical performance; predicting students' educational success and needed supports; and creating user-friendly and intuitive dashboards that guide actionable insights. By attending this panel, the audience will gain a deeper understanding into the entire process for developing practical solutions that use AI and analytics to make complex data accessible for effective decision-making. Participants will understand the end-to-end workflow for taking an idea about how AI might help to a deployed solution influencing decision-making. Participants will learn about two AI use cases for predicting and improving success in the clinical and educational settings. Participants will learn about the basics of dashboard design so as to improve decision-making and generate action.
