Course Description

Humans are born liars, and as such, are bombarded by lies everyday. Why are we good liars but poor lie detectors? And can deception detection be a learned skill? Through the lens of evolutionary psychology, FBI Supervisory Special Agent Dawn Norris Doak will examine the underlying tenets of deception and how they may manifest in both verbal and non-verbal behavior. This presentation is designed to be applicable (and helpful!) to attendees in both personal and professional environments.
