Burnout Solutions is the kind of topic that looks straightforward until it collides with the speed, ambiguity, and competing demands of supervision meetings, staff training, clinic systems, and performance review. In Burnout Solutions, for this course, the practical stakes show up in better performance, lower drift, and more sustainable team development, not in abstract discussion alone.

Drawing on research, I will provide an overview of key organizational, individual, and systemic factors that contribute to burnout among behavior analysts. I will discuss the roles of workload expectations, workplace support, leadership practices, and organizational culture, as well as personal strategies for resilience and boundary-setting. Additionally, evidence-based solutions for preventing and mitigating burnout at all levels—individual, employer, and organizational—will be discussed. By the end of this presentation, participants will be equipped with practical advice to advocate for healthier work environments, implement self-care strategies, and collaborate on systemic changes that promote sustainability in the field of behavior analysis. This talk gave me the inspiration I needed and the direction I needed to make changes not only for myself but also my coworkers to benefit our program. The content was relevant and the presenter had wonderful data with expertise to validate the information. Highly recommend. Loved the content of this course! I felt validated in my feelings and it gave me reasonable solutions to present to my organization as well as tools to utilize to be proactive in preventing burn out in those that I supervise. As a first-year BCBA, who has felt a tremendous amount of additional stress with my new job role, this training gave me an immense amount of resources to tackle some of the challenges I have faced in my first 6-months. I appreciated the perspective on both the individual and organizational levels on how to address burnout. I will definitely be taking the tools I learned with me on my daily practice as a BCBA.
