General CEU: Person-Centered ABA: Practical Implications of Incorporating Assent into Practice

Person-Centered ABA: Practical Implications of Incorporating Assent into Practice belongs in serious BCBA study because it shapes whether behavior-analytic decisions stay useful once they leave a clean training example and enter clinic sessions and day-to-day service delivery. In Practical Implications of Incorporating Assent into Practice, for this course, the practical stakes show up in feasible school-based support, stronger collaboration, and better student participation, not in abstract discussion alone.

Course Description

Now, more than ever, clinicians need to evaluate their own clinical commitments to ensure that their clinical values (i.e., person-centered care) align with treatment. While many behavior analysts aspire to provide person-centered care, what does person-centered care look like in practice? How can clinicians incorporate assent-based practices? This presentation will delve into how Person-Centered ABA complements evidence-based practice and will review a wide range of programming examples.
