Course Description

This symposium will share with the audience the research and innovation one ABA agency has done with regard to feedback for staff. One talk will discuss teaching appropriate responding to feedback reception, mainly when that feedback is not so well received. The second talk will provide an overview of objective performance scorecards for all employee positions to promote self-monitoring and autonomy in job tasks. Discussion in both talks will review how these targeted areas have pushed one ABA agency further on the journey towards greatness.

About the Instructor

Paula Antonelli
MS, BCBA

Paula Antonelli is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and is the Chief Strategy Officer of Behavior Basics Incorporated, a behavioral sciences consulting firm based in Florida. Paula obtained her Master of Science Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology in 2003. In her role, Paula oversees all programs in the company and works in concert with our President on data based strategic growth and planning. She works closely with our directors to ensure that our ABA programs in Brevard and Treasure Coast, as well as our four behaviorally intensive parent education programs, maintain integrity and client centered practice. Paula completed her OBM Certificate Program from Florida Tech and has taken the lead on many OBM projects to ensure that the company functions from a behavior analytic lens and incorporates strategies based on the science of ABA. Paula has served the community as a Behavior Analyst since 2001 and has been with Behavior Basics since the company was born. She has a long history of providing services to foster children, children with mental health and/or developmental disabilities, and providing caregiver training. Paula is also the co-author of “The Secrets of Modern Parenting” DVD series, which has helped people all around the world. Paula is passionate about spreading the utility of Applied Behavior Analysis and touching as many lives as possible.
