ABA: Beyond the Myths and Toward Real Progress matters because it changes what a BCBA notices when decisions have to hold up in community routines and natural environments. In Beyond the Myths and Toward Real Progress, for this course, the practical stakes show up in stronger conceptual consistency and better translational decision making, not in abstract discussion alone.

Join Free →ABA is one of the most debated topics in the autism community. Misinformation often overshadows the real experiences of families like mine leaving many unsure of what to believe. As a mother of a profoundly autistic child, I've seen firsthand how ABA has helped my son, Charlie, develop essential life skills and improve his quality of life. At the same time, no therapy is perfect, and there are areas where ABA can evolve for the better. In this keynote, I'll share my personal journey, both as a parent and as someone diagnosed with autism myself, addressing common misconceptions about ABA, highlighting its benefits, and discussing the key improvements I believe could make it even more effective. My goal is to cut through the noise and offer an honest, nuanced perspective on what ABA is, what it isn't, and how we can ensure it serves autistic individuals in the best way possible.
