Course Description

In this webinar, Dr. James Partington author of the ABLLS-R and Dr. Nissa Van Etten, Director of Assessments and Clinical Training provides a training on the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills- Revised (ABLLS-R). The training includes an overview of the ABLLS-R, how to administer the ABLLS-R utilizing the CR Assessments online platform, how to score and interpret results, and how to generate treatment goals for effective instruction. Both presenters will discuss how to prepare for and administer the ABLLS-R assessment to ensure assessors are focusing on skills that are pertinent to the clients.

What You'll Learn

  1. In this workshop participants will learn the history of the ABLLS-R as a criterion-referenced assessment utilized in behavior analytic practice.
  2. This session will provide a comprehensive review of the ABLLS-R assessment, the use of the ABLLS-R assessment, appropriate learners for the ABLLS-R assessment, and guidelines for developing instruction post assessment.
  3. Describe how to review client performance and interpret assessment results for the ABLLS-R.

Nissa Intarachote Van Etten has been a board-certified behavior analyst for 18 years working in clinical practice with individuals diagnosed with autism and IDD. Dr. Intarachote Van Etten's professional interests include clinical supervision of those pursuing certification in behavior analysis, assessment, clinical programming, treatment of children with autism, and applications in the clinic, home, and community settings. Dr. Intarachote Van Etten has experience administering various assessments, training behavior analysts in service delivery, and designing courses in behavior analysis. Dr. Intarachote Van Etten is the Director of Clinical Training and CR Institute at CentralReach and an adjunct faculty member at National University. Dr. Intarachote Van Etten has developed over 25 courses related to criterion referenced assessment decision making, compassionate care in behavior analytic practice, and culturally responsive care.
