Pre-Conference Workshop: Escape the Undertow: Surfing the Waves of Professional Burnout belongs in serious BCBA study because it shapes whether behavior-analytic decisions stay useful once they leave a clean training example and enter supervision meetings, staff training, clinic systems, and performance review. In Pre-Conference Workshop: Escape the Undertow: Surfing the Waves of Professional Burnout, for this course, the practical stakes show up in better performance, lower drift, and more sustainable team development, not in abstract discussion alone.

Join Free →The term burnout has become ubiquitous in Behavior Analysis as the demand for ABA services continues to outpace the number of BCBAs working in applied settings. This is especially challenging for rural and/or isolated communities, like the state of Hawaii. This workshop will provide attendees with information and diagnostic dimensions of burnout used by the World Health Organization, antecedent and consequence-based strategies that BCBAs in applied settings can use to surf the waves of burnout instead of sinking in its undertow. This workshop will have plenty of opportunities for attendees to ask specific questions. All attendees will be provided with a folder of resources, research and workbooks that they can access and share with their teams.
