Course Description

Two challenges organizations face in creating equity-aligned work environments that lead to inclusive and diverse workforces are attracting diverse applicants and, if they are able to attract them, retaining them. In this webinar we propose that, while often viewed as separate issues, these stem from a common source: organizational culture. We offered three interrelated practices to bring intentionality to creating an equitable culture: values work, centering relationships, and ongoing reflection and self-assessment. We provided an overview of each along with specific strategies leaders can take in these areas to begin developing and integrating these practices as part of the organization's culture. Obtain actionable steps to begin defining and assessing their organizational culture, specifically as it relates to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

What You'll Learn

  1. Identify initial steps to defining organizational values as a foundation for equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  2. Identify specific new behaviors to take to build relationships for equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  3. Identify reflective practices used to identify behaviors they engage in (or could engage in) that will move towards equity, diversity, and inclusion.
