Join Free →This panel will highlight the complexities of professional relationships in behavior analysis (e.g., relationships with peers within the discipline, co-workers and collaborators from other disciplines, supervisors and supervisees, and clients and families. All relationships are complex by nature, but some are complicated by differences that exist between the parties in the relationship. Some differences that may present barriers are race, culture, gender identity and sexuality, disability, language, and socioeconomic status. Other variables are related to an individual's personal values, such as religious or political beliefs. The presenters will discuss strategies for preventing or addressing relationship stressors in various contexts and audience participation will be encouraged.
