Burnout and Job Satisfaction Among Behavior Technicians in Public Schools: Understanding Challenges and Promoting Supportive Practices matters because it changes what a BCBA notices when decisions have to hold up in school teams and classroom routines. In Burnout and Job Satisfaction Among Behavior Technicians in Public, for this course, the practical stakes show up in feasible school-based support, stronger collaboration, and better student participation, not in abstract discussion alone.

However, these professionals often face high job demands, limited training, and inconsistent support, all of which contribute to elevated levels of burnout and decreased job satisfaction. This presentation explores the prevalence, predictors, and consequences of burnout among behavior technicians working in public schools, drawing from key findings of a quantitative correlational study. We will examine factors such as workload, role clarity, administrative support, and access to training, and how these variables correlate with job satisfaction and retention. The session will conclude with evidence-based recommendations for employers of behavior technicians to enhance workplace conditions, improve technician well-being, and promote more sustainable service delivery models.
