General CEU: Bcba Ceu Odd Aba

Odd Aba is the kind of topic that looks straightforward until it collides with the speed, ambiguity, and competing demands of caregiver coaching, home routines, team meetings, and values-sensitive decision making. In Odd Aba, for this course, the practical stakes show up in better alignment between intervention and the family context in which it must survive, not in abstract discussion alone.

Course Description

Oppositional Defiant Disorder is a DSM V diagnosis that refers to children who display uncooperative, defiant, and hostile behavior toward peers, parents, teachers, and other authority figures. These behaviors can often be self-defeating and yet the behaviors persist. In the current talk, the diagnosis will be explored. Overlap with other diagnoses and possible etiologies will be explored. The treatment literature will be explored, with an eye on overlap with trauma-based conditions and trauma-informed care. This was such a realistic and holistic CEU on ODD. I very much enjoyed the approach to the literature and strategies. Thank you! After doing 2 of his trainings I get that his style is to make a lot of jokes, but if they do not carry without being explained they are not funny to the audience. Excellent presentation! I enjoyed the infusion of humor and musical references and feel this entire presentation will be VERY helpful in my work in a school based setting. Thank you for a useful and enjoyable course! I really appreciated the relaxed nature (vs stuffy/"professional") delivery from this very knowledgeable and intelligent speaker. i appreciated his use of song lyrics and popular culture inclusions/references. He clearly is an expert in the information he is delivering and has a love for the field. What separates him from other speakers is, as previously stated, the STYLE of delivery. its engaging, personal and relatable. most of the info he delivered will stay with me, and isnt that the goal? there was one other speaker on this platform that i enjoyed as much as this man and her name was Becca from Del MAr. i dont remember her last name. Please continue having these speakers and speakers like them! I apologize for all the typos. I am in a rush ut wanted to makw sure to leave this review in hopes of more lectures by these individuals or others with engaging pesentations!
