The seven dimensions of applied behavior analysis — Applied, Behavioral, Analytic, Technological, Conceptually Systematic, Effective, and Generality — were articulated by Baer, Wolf, and Risley in their seminal 1968 paper in the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, the same paper that formally launched the field. These dimensions were not designed as administrative checklists or journal submission criteria.
