Course Description

Collaboration is essential in an ABA supervisory relationship to create a positive learning environment and achieve goals.Technicians and Behavior Analysts alike are more likely to be engaged and competent at delivering high-quality care if supervision happens in the context of a relationship. A relational approach creates an environment of partnership and cooperation that inevitably enhances competence. Behavior analytic supervision is defined as the active process of systematically shaping the myriad skills required of individuals seeking to formally practice applied behavior analysis (ABA). In order to shape needed skills, supervision provides the opportunity to create and nurture collaborative relationships that contribute to professional growth and desirable outcomes for clients. The overarching purpose of supervision is the sustainability of high-quality care. In this training, we will review behavior analytic strategies and tactics to enhance the overall supervisory experience and provide a framework for supervising that facilitates stronger relationships.
