Treatment fidelity — the degree to which an intervention is implemented as designed — is the backbone of evidence-based ABA practice. Without systematic measurement of fidelity, a BCBA cannot determine whether a client's outcome reflects the intervention itself or the variability introduced by inconsistent implementation.
