Jenilee Acevedo-Medina is the Founder and President of First Steps Interventions, Inc, a small private ABA practice. In 2008, she built a small but mighty team that shared her dedication to creating lasting impacts in the lives of children and families. She has worked in the field of behavior intervention and autism for over 15 years and has dedicated her career to maximizing her knowledge and skills to train therapists, students, newly certified individuals, and caregivers. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from FIU with a minor in Social Work and a Master of Science in ABA.Jenilee has presented on the benefits of ongoing supervision and the importance of caregiver training at several Florida Behavior Analysis Association (FABA) conferences. Jenilee is also a member of the Multicultural Special Interest Group, which is dedicated to spreading ethical and effective behavior analysis practices around the world. She is also a member of SoFABA and holds the position of Vice President on the SoFABA Board of Directors.In 2017, she had the opportunity to become an International Visiting Professor at the Universidad del Istmo in Guatemala, teaching Applied Behavior Analysis students at the Master's level through a highly supervised practicum. In 2018, she contributed to the well-established ABA Master's program at abaScool in Spain as a lecturer.Currently, she is back at FlU, as an adjunct professor for the Master's and Undergraduate program in Behavior Analysis.
