Rapport-building is an essential component of effective supervision of technician-level. This process should be approached with the understanding that supervisor-supervisee interactions are impacted by their cultural backgrounds. In this presentation, we review the importance of establishing rapport in the supervisor-supervisee relationship, barriers to effective rapport-building, and culturally aware strategies to approach the rapport-building process.
