Course Description

Daniels and Bailey (2014) describe the goal of performance management or organizational behavior management (OBM), as "creating a workplace that brings out the best in people while generating the highest value for the organization." At The COR Behavioral Group, we embody this principle by implementing strategies and techniques grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to enhance mentorship, collaboration, and leadership across our team. By applying OBM strategies, we have developed a comprehensive supervision program aimed at supporting and cultivating well-rounded clinicians in the field of ABA. To ensure the success of our program and effectively prepare supervisees for their future roles, both Supervisors and Supervisees undergo a structured onboarding process. This process includes comprehensive initial training on the program and a clear outline of expectations, setting the foundation for their respective roles and responsibilities. This foundation allows our program to not only meet but exceed the BACB requirements for Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork by offering: Minimum clinical hour requirements Weekly individual and group supervision meetings Varied fieldwork experiences and settings Access to multiple qualified supervisors Typically, our supervisees begin their fieldwork journey as ABA Therapists/RBTs and transition into Co-Coordinator of client cases as they refine their clinical skills. They gain valuable, hands-on experience by collaborating with multiple BCBAs across diverse settings and engaging in activities that broaden their clinical and professional skills. Supervisees are required to attend weekly individual and group supervision meetings and are integrated into bi-monthly BCBA Meetings, CEUs, clinical training and professional development opportunities. To ensure continuous growth, supervisees undergo quarterly evaluations focused on clinical and behavioral competencies, professionalism, oversight, and responsiveness to feedback. Metrics such as progress evaluations, caseloads, pass rates, and staff retention demonstrate how our supervision program supports broader organizational goals. By aligning our approach with research-based supervision practices and OBM principles, we provide emerging clinicians with structured guidance and training. Simultaneously, we strengthen our organization by improving personnel ratios, fostering a collaborative culture, enhancing clinical capabilities, and—most importantly—driving progress and outcomes for our clients.
