Empowering Behavior Analysts Through Transformational Game-Data belongs in serious BCBA study because it shapes whether behavior-analytic decisions stay useful once they leave a clean training example and enter case conceptualization, intervention design, staff training, and literature-informed problem solving. In Empowering Behavior Analysts Through Transformational Game-Data, for this course, the practical stakes show up in stronger conceptual consistency and better translational decision making, not in abstract discussion alone.

The partnership, fostered by StepOne Neurodiversity Services, embodies a vision to disseminate the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) through engaging and transformative video games. This presentation will showcase transformational games that were created over a two-year period. These transformational games have been developed in the areas of assessment (e.g., VB-MAPP), developing vocational skills (e.g., getting dressed for an interview), and developing life skills (e.g., riding public transportation). Through video demonstrations and pilot single-subject data, we highlight benefits of using technology to enhance assessment and teaching of target skills, and analyze data produced by learner behavior. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how these innovative resources can streamline assessment and teaching while providing engaging and data-driven experiences for learners in different settings. These digital tools and games stand as a testament to the potential of technology to enhance ABA interventions, ultimately leading to more enriched learning experiences for behavior analysts and our clients. Participants will identify and define the difference between a game and transformational game. Participants will identify the benefits of using technology to enhance assessment and teaching of target skills, supported by pilot single-subject data. Participants will assess how games enhance behavior analytic interventions and enrich learning experiences.
