Defining the mission, creating service delivery systems, and measuring performance of the systems allows organizational leadership to measure progress toward achieving the mission. Organizational structure and processes should be engineered to support the mission, enhance the outcomes of individuals served, and exceed minimum ethical standards. The purpose of this presentation is to provide different considerations for organizations to consider as commitments to these outcomes. Attendees will learn about organizational practices that support evidence-based practices (EBP), ethical decision-making practices, and standardized processes. Additionally, the key component of supervising employees and processes will be discussed.

Dr. Quigley has over 20 years of experience supporting individuals in community, education, and residential settings across multiple state service systems. His professional experiences include direct support professional, public school consultant and researcher, supervisor and behavior analyst for center-based autism services, director of training and clinical services, and executive leader. He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Melmark, a non-profit multi-state human service organization. Throughout his professional experiences, Dr. Quigly has gained valuable experience with strategic planning and implementation, budget development and oversight, regulatory development and compliance, program development, labor relations, and leadership. Dr. Quigley completed a Master’s of Education at Idaho State University and a Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis at Western Michigan University, followed by a post-doctoral psychology fellowship with the University of New Mexico Medical Group. He has completed ongoing leadership training graduating from the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) interdisciplinary training, the National Leadership Consortium Leadership Institute, and the Certified Diversity Executive. Dr. Quigley supports the enhancement of the field through research, university teaching, conference presentations, authoring books and journal articles, and service to professional organizations and journal editorial boards.
