Course Description

The start of a necessary and ongoing conversation, "A Black Behaviorist and a White Behaviorist Walk into a (fill in the blank)", is a discussion about race, intersectionality, and the importance of a partnership between black and white women. As two friends and colleagues, Nasiah and Dana will approach tough topics with the necessary honesty, complexity and empathy, while sharing their unique perspectives: Nasiah, as a thought leader on compassion and inclusivity; Dana, as an ally and advocate. This conversation aims to create a brave space for women to learn from, and empower one another, with the ultimate aim of addressing the difficult barriers of a truly inclusive world. The conversation continues at the WIBA 2023 Conference in Nashville, on July 20 where Nasiah and Dana will host a panel entitled, "A Black Female Behavior Analyst and a White Female Behavior Analyst Walk into a Conference". Dana Meller

Dana Meller is the founder of PASS the BIG ABA EXAM. Established in 2012, PASS the Big ABA Exam has helped countless students pass the big exam across the United States and in over 66 countries worldwide. ABA is a second career for Dana, having started out as an actress, most notably in Broadway’s Les Misérables. Although she continues to dabble in performing, her heart is in applied behavior analysis which has been her primary focus for over 20 years, working on the front lines in homes and schools; managing in-home, group home, and school case programs; and clinical directing and consulting for ABA providers in Southern California. These days, in addition to running PASStheBIGABAEXAM and teaching the company’s courses, Dana is also the CEO for an ABA provider in Los Angeles.
