Parent Stress and Support in ASD Services

This cluster looks at how parent training programs help moms and dads of kids with autism. It shows that teaching parents new skills can make them feel more confident, but it doesn’t always lower their stress. The papers say we need to add stress-management lessons and check on parent feelings, not just child progress. A BCBA would care because happy, less-stressed parents stick with the plan and help the child learn better.
