Research Cluster

Parent-Led Early ABA Programs

This cluster looks at ways moms, dads, and other caregivers can give ABA help to very young kids with autism at home. It shows that when parents get good training and weekly check-ins from a BCBA, children can learn language and thinking skills just as fast as in a big clinic. The papers also tell us that even a few hours a week can still make a difference if families live far from services. A BCBA can use these studies to decide how many hours, what age to start, and how much coach time parents need so kids keep growing.
