Parenting Stress in Autism

This cluster looks at why moms and dads of kids with autism feel extra stress. It shows that stress can start even before a child is fully diagnosed. High stress can hurt a parent’s own mental health and make it harder to help the child. A BCBA can use these facts to check on parents, teach coping skills, and build support so the whole family does better.
